Job Description:

Leads the seafood team and oversees daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, and regulatory compliance.Responsibilities include:

• Holds team members accountable for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Makes hiring and separation decisions in partnership with store leadership.
• Monitors and achieves sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Manages ordering and inventory to achieve targeted profit margin.
• Establishes and maintains positive vendor relationships.
• Sustains knowledge of competitors and industry trends.
• Ensures high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters a positive team environment.
• Maintains awareness of customer needs and directs team members accordingly.
• Selects, trains, and develops team members.
• Communicates and maintains team member safety and security standards.Required skills include:
  • Exceptional knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.
  • Decision-making ability, leadership skills, and prioritization.
  • Food safety certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and customer relationship skills.
  • Thorough product knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies.
  • Proficient mathematical skills.Experience requirements include:
    • 24+ months of retail experience, including 12+ months of team leadership experience.Physical requirements include:
      • Lifting 50 pounds.
      • Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
      • Using hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
      • Performing motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
      • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
      • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
      • Ability to handle knives and heavy machinery.
